Back in Cornwall in 2026
This time we were with Lee Hendrie. Lee had the crowd entertained all night with some of the greatest stories and a brilliant time was had by all.
The highlight of the night (apart from the money raised) was Lee inviting a couple of members for a round of golf with him and another legend in the world of football at the Belfry. This was part of the auction.
Our next event is with Andy Townsend and takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026.
The Cornwall Lions events continue in 2025 - Part Two
What a night we had with the one and only Andy Gray.
The ex - Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton (amongst others) striker was on top form as he regaled the audience with many poignant and funny stories from an amazing career on the pitch and in broadcasting.
There was not a dry eye in the house when he recalled the night that Jock Stein passed away on the night that his beloved Scotland team qualified for the World Cup in Mexico in 1986.
A special mention needs to go to Dave Wickes and the rest of the Cornwall Lions committee for all the hard work that is put in for these brilliant events, that also raise thousands of pounds for charities.
Roll on 2026 when they host Lee Hendrie on 28 March. Tickets are on sale soon so watch this space!
The Cornwall Lions events continue in 2025 - Part One
It wasn't just one legend this time around but THREE football legends. The Cornwall Lions hosted Mark Draper (Notts County, Leicester City, Aston Villa and Southampton), Tommy Johnson (Notts County, Derby County, Aston Villa and Celtic) and Alan Wright (Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Sheffield United).
We all had the best of times and the insights into the world of football was fascinating, and we got to hear about some very funny moments!
Our new event is with Andy Gray (Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Scotland) on Saturday 11 October 2025 and it is not to be missed!
The 30th anniversary Spring tour of when ...
Aston Villa beat Manchester United in the 1994 League Cup Final took place in March and May, 2024.
The tour took us to Villa Park and other fine venues in the Midlands and we met some fine people from the players, fans and Journalists. Some of the players (with selected clubs & countries that they represented) that entertained the crowds with some great anecdotes were:

Working with the Legends continues ...
We had a great time working with Denis Irwin, in association with the wonderful Sportsnight Events & Memorabilia @ the Cradley Sports & Social Club on 2nd May 2024. Denis regaled the crowd with some wonderful stories from his illustrious career, and signed copies of 'Three Games in May'.
John Gregory with the Cornwall Lions!
I had a blast hosting an evening with John Gregory for the Cornwall Lions on Saturday 23rd March 2024.
The former Aston Villa, Derby County and Queens Park Rangers player and manager, had the room in stitches with some of his stories and provided fascinating insights into the management styles of some of the biggest names in football. These included Ron Saunders, Terry Venables and Sir Bobby Robson when John represented England at senior level. It was certainly a night to remember! We finished the evening with John picking up his guitar and performing a couple of songs, much to the delight of the crowd.
The Cornwall Lions have only be in existence for a couple of years, but have grown rapidly ever since. They now have over 250 members and have raised over £11,000 for charity. It is a real pleasure hosting events for them.

Our final Teale on Tour for 2023 was with the Aston Villa Cornwall Lions supporters club on November 18th. We met some wonderful people, and it was a great event.
From Non-League to the Premier League!
We had a very busy weekend on 11th and 12th November. First up, was a trip to Southport FC to watch them defeat South Shields in a league match before heading down to the Midlands the following day to see Aston Villa beat Fulham. Two home wins for two of Shaun Teale's former clubs!

Shaun was guest of honour at AFC Bournemouth v Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. We had a blast and met many fans of all ages. The event was hosted by Bournemouth legend, Steve Fletcher.

The following night and we were part of the Ultimate Villa Legends event at Aston Villa FC

We had a brilliant time at the last game of the season when Manchester United hosted Fulham. Here we are with the fans before and after the match at one of the biggest and best social clubs around Old Trafford - The Railway Club in Stretford.
